Municipal election day is Monday, October 20, 2025. 
On election day, voting stations will be open from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM at the following locations:

Advance Vote:
Advance voting for all divisions will take place at the County of Barrhead Administration Office (5306-49 Street, Barrhead) on the following dates:
  • Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM

Voter Eligibility:
To be eligible to vote, you must:
  • Be at least 18 years old 
  • Be a Canadian citizen 
  • Be a resident of the County of Barrhead in Alberta on Election Day 
Are you registered to vote?
Check if you are on the Voter's Register at Elections.ab.ca/Voters/Register-to-Vote. If you are not registered to vote, you may still register at the polling station if eligible, with proper identification.
 
Requirement for Voter Identification:
In order to vote, you must produce identification for inspection. The identification must be one or more of the following:
1. Registered voters are required to show valid government-issued identification containing, at minimum, the voters photograph & name.
OR
2. Non-registered voters are required to validate their ID by providing one of the following:
  • One piece of government-issued identification containing the voter's photograph, name and current address; or
  • One piece of identification containing the voter's name and current address
  • Those unable to produce identification set out above may have a registered voter vouch for them.
