Alberta Open Farm Days is an incubator for agri-tourism and rural sustainability. This collaborative, province-wide, FREE event can give you the opportunity to experience farms and understand where your food comes from. It's a backstage pass to meet the farmer, experience Agri-tourism in Alberta and taste local foods directly from the producer!

    • GRO will show you how to take soil samples, ask them about their agricultural research 
    • ALUS will talk about biodiversity and ecosystems and what farmers do to help our environment for future generations, including a tour of our native wildflower plots and shelterbelt for pollinators and other wildlife. Listen to bats ‘chatting’ in our bat houses

    • Learn about how we use rotational grazing and pest management to help our horses regenerate the land.

    • Farming Forward, a local research organization will show you how to sample soil and explain how the results can be used move agriculture forward.
