The Barrhead Community has a long and well-established history of volunteerism.  Volunteers provide the foundation for our welcoming, diverse, & supportive community.  While the efforts of volunteers are never unappreciated, they can often go unrecognized.  
 
Volunteer of the Year Awards
Join us in recognizing our heroic volunteers through the 2023 Volunteer of the Year Awards!  Nominations are now open for multiple categories, including: 
  • Youth (individual): for an outstanding youth who has shown commitment to volunteerism
  • Rosemary Empey (individual): for an individual with exceptional volunteerism in the previous year
  • Long Standing Service (individual): for an individual volunteer with a long history of commitment to volunteerism
  • "Make a Difference" Award (group): for a group of volunteers of any age who have been active in our community
To nominate an outstanding individual or group, submit the nomination form to:
