Welcome

The County of Barrhead is the true essence of rural Alberta. We have it all. Our agricultural portfolio includes cattle, horses, pigs, chickens, dairy, exotic livestock, cereals and oil grains. Driving down our roads you see fields of yellow canola, blue flax and golden cereal crops. We have beautiful wood lands, lakes and rivers that attract hunters, fishermen and campers alike. Oil, natural gas, coalbed methane, and gravel are just some of the natural resources that we are blessed with. The County of Barrhead is friendly, safe, and has some of the best natural beauty in rural Alberta. Come and take a look, and enjoy what the County of Barrhead has to offer!
