The County of Barrhead is served by a modern, environmentally controlled regional landfill site and transfer sites which are conveniently located throughout the County for the residents.

We also provide water and sewer to the Hamlets of Neerlandia, Manola and MacGill Estates. Please call our office for current rates, a hook up application, and more details.

Barrhead Regional Landfill Site:

             Location: SW 3-60-4-W5 (Updated March 2008)

Hours: Wednesday through to Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fee Schedule
Disposal of waste materials at the Regional Landfill Site, including but not limited to cement, stumps, and any other non-burnable materials:

Small Trucks up to one ton
$15.00 per load or part of

Large Trucks one ton and up
35.00 per load or part of

Tandem Trucks
$60.00 per load or part of

End Dump
$120.00 per load or part of

Transfer Stations:

Hours Effective January 1, 2010:          1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Recycling stations are located within the Town of Barrhead next to the Barrhead Agrena parking lot and at the regional landfill.  Materials accepted include:  flattened cardboard, paper, No. 2 and No. 5 plastics, mixed plastics, and tin cans.
