The County of Barrhead is located in north-central Alberta, 122 km northwest of the City of Edmonton. It is bounded by Woodlands County to the north and west, the County of Lac Ste Anne to the north, and the Municipal District of Sturgeon and Westlock County to the east. We are only 1 hour northwest of Edmonton, and a direct link to the Peace Country.

We encompass the Town of Barrhead, and also the Hamlets of Neerlandia, Manola and Thunder Lake. With the Town of Barrhead, we service a trading area of over 20,000 people.
